In 1967, Felixston was comprised of a road with a gold course, high street with a both side of shops, and farmland to the north of the it. To the south, there were trees and a dunes, a hotel, a cafe, and a marina and fish market By 2001, the farmland to the north-east of the road had been converted into a hotel with a tennis courts and swimming pool. The shops on the right side of high street had been replaced by an apartment, while a golf course remain relatively untouched. To the south of the road, The hotel has gained a large car park and some wind turbines had been erected between a dunes and the sea. However, the biggest charged was the removal of the marina and pier, which were replaced by a public beach. The fish market beside the pier was also removed into a private beach. on the contrast, the cafe remain the same.
