The general overview here is that over the time period, the area has witnessed big changes especially to the farmland areas and the Marina which were reconstructed. In 1967, Felixston was comprised of a road with a gold course, high street with a both side of shops, and farmland to the north of the it. To the south, there were trees and a dunes, a hotel, a cafe, and a marina and fish market By 2001, the farmland to the north-east of the road had been converted into a hotel with a tennis courts and swimming pool. The shops on the right side of high street had been replaced by an apartment, while a golf course remain relatively untouched. To the south of the road, The hotel has gained a large car park and some wind turbines had been erected between a dunes and the sea. However, the biggest charged was the removal of the marina and pier, which were replaced by a public beach. The fish market beside the pier was also removed into a private beach. on the contrast, the cafe remain the same.
