The given chart illustrates the percentage of people using Twitter by age groups in the US from November 2010 to May 2013. Generally, the proportion of people using Twitter between 18 and 29 ages was upward. The similar pattern was true for that of 30 – 40 ages, 50 – 64 ages, and 65+ ages. Starting at about 14% in November, there was an fluctuation under 20% among those in the 18-29 year-old age group from November 2010 to August 2011, followed by a period of soaring then reached a peak at 33% in August 2012. In terms of 30 – 49 age group, there was a fluctuation between November 2010 and August 2011, at about 8% and 12% respectively. In May 2013, the rate of age group 30-49 rocketed and reached 18%. A similar erratic trend was seen in the proportion of people aged 50-64 and 65+. Specifically, the percentage of two age groups varied sharply between 3% and 9% from January 2011 to February 2012. Noticeably, elder people from 65 ages using Twitter went up slightly over the period of November 2010, from 4% to 5%
