The line graph provides information about changes in global water use by sector from 1900 to 2000. The table gives details about water usage in two countries, Brazil and Congo in the year 2000. Overall, the agriculture sector consumed the largest quantity of water, while domestic sector consumed the least amount. Initially the consumption of water in domestic and industry sectors showed a stable trend and then rose toward the end of the century, whereas the use of water in agriculture increased throughout until the end of the given period. On the other hand, in the table given, water consumption was higher in brazil than in congo. Farming sector was the highest consumer of water compared to the other sectors. In 1900 the amout of water used by this sector was about 500 km3, which increasd steadily over the years and finally ended at about six fold the initial quantity by the end of the 20th century at 3000 km3. Furthermore, the amout of water utilized for domestic and industrial purposes had a similar pattern. In 1900, industrial use of water was about 100 km3 and remaind so until after 1950 when it displayed an upward trend ending at well above 1000km3 in 2000. The same case was seen in domestic water use, despite slight fluctuations, it reached around 300 km3 in 2000. Among the two countries, brazil had both, higher population (176) million and higher water consumption per person(359)m3. While congo had a population of 5. 2 million and 8 m3 consumption per person figure. Besides, congo had only 100 km2 of irrigated land while brazil had 26, 500 km2.
