The following line graph illustrates the International students from five different continents registered at a university between 1975 and 2009, whilst the table shows the proportion of students’ homeland. The table shows the proportions of international students’ home region spread over the five continents. At first glance, it can be seen that in 1975, South American continent had the highest percentage of international students, with 30%. While Africa and North America had the lowest percentage, with 15%. In 2009, there was a significant change in the student’s percentage. Asia topped the percentage of international students with 65%, whereas there were no students from South America. The percentages of students from other regions remained stable or slightly decreased. The line graph shows the distribution of international students during the period from 1975 to 2009. Initially, the number of students started from 750 students in the year 1975 and grew slowly until it reached 1250 in 1990. The percentage increased gradually and reached nearly 2000 students in the year 2000. Eventually, the number of students increased rapidly and reached the peak value of 3540 students in 2009.
