The table displays a survey carried out through the year 1994-1998 within 100, 000 people, finding out if they traveled abroad and reasons which they did, while the bar chart illustrates the three locations they traveled to over that period. Overall, one can observe from the table that through the years the highest reason for visit abroad by UK ressidents was for holidays, while few families traveled for other reasons through the given period. Furthermore the most visited destination all through was Western Europe. The number of families that traveled for the purpose of holiday was 3 to 4 times more than other reasons, the second highest purpose of visit was for business which wasn't slightly different from the numbers of people whose reason was to visit friends and relatives, whereas other reasons had the least numbers through the given period. Western Europe was by far the most visited destination from 1994 to 1998 with over 15000 families visiting as compared to the rest destinaton, few families visited North America and Other Areas which had well-under 5000 families visiting, although Other Areas had more visits compared to North America
