The first chart below shows how energy is used in an average Australian household. The second chart shows the greenhouse gas emission which result from energy use.

The first chart illustrates amount of energy consumed by various activity in Australian household whereas the second chart shows the greenhouse gas emissions resulting from this consumption. Overall, it can be seen that, “heating” and “water hearting” sectors are two main use of energy in Australian household and beside, “water heating” and “other appliances” are majority of proportions Due to energy consumption and as well as cooling sectors are fixed in both of them, approximately. According to the given chart, an average Australian household uses the highest amount of energy (42%) for “heating” while “water heating” consumes 30% of energy. “Other appliances”, “refrigeration” and “lighting” sectors are (15%, 7% and 4%) of energy used, respectively. And also “cooling” portion from energy used is least of amount (2%). In second chart, it can be seen the amount of greenhouse gas emissions by an Australian household from consumption of energy that “Water hearing” and “other appliances” parts are the highest rate of Gas release (32% and 28%) respectively. and besides, “heating” portion in gas emissions is around 15% and while “cooling” part shows a slightly increase around 1%. Interestingly, the gas emissions in the “refrigeration” and “lighting” sectors is equally and exactly twice the energy consumption.
