The first chart shows the money spent by British parents on their children’s sports between 2008 and 2014. It increased steadily from 20 pounds to around 32 pounds between the year 2008 to 2014. The money spent by British parents increased nearly 5 pounds every 2 years. For example, british parents spent 25 pounds in 2010 and slightly less than 30 in 2012. The second chart shows the number of children who participated in three sports in Britain between the year 2008 to 2014. All sports have an increasing trend. The number of children playing football increased gradually from around 8 millions to nearly 10 millions between the year 2008 to 2014. For athletics, it went up from almost 0 millions in 2008 to 5 millions in 2012 and declined steadily starting from 2012 to 2014.
