The two figures give information about the proportion of residents classified to six ranges of age in 1998 and the number of visits that each local people went to hospital each year in Glasgow from 1960 to 2010. It is clear that in 1998, people aged from 50 to 64 accounted for the highest percentage in Glasgow age demographics. It also can be seen that there has been an upward trend in the annual average hospital visits per capita since 1970. According to the table chart, in 1998, the ratio of Glasgow inhabitants between the ages of 50 and 64 made up 24% in the total figure. The figures for age ranges of 35-49, 20-34 and 13-19 were 20%, 16% and 12% respectively. In addition to that, the proportion of both age ranges of 0-12 and 64 onward saw the same lowest figure of 14% In the line chart, there was a decrease in average number of visits to hospital by each person from 2. 3 in 1960 to 2. 1 in 1970.
