The diagrams depict changes in the layout of a student common room over a period of 5 years. In general, the layout of the student common room has been changed considerably, especially in the central part of the room. A number of features have been removed and modified, while other facilities have been added. As can be seen from the diagrams, over the period of 5 years, the table next to the entrance has transformed into a shape from a circle to rectangular and has expanded a seat. In the right hand of the entrance, the last table is replaced by a bench for laptops. Turning to other features, we can see that, across the left-hand of the student common room, the sink, cupboard, bench and refrigerator has remained unchanged for 5 years, but a new microwave has been constructed on the original site of a bench. During the same period, a drink machine has been built in the left corner of the room. Moreover, the fridge has been demolished and replaced by 3 armchairs and a television.
