The diagrams below show the life cycle of a species of large fish called the salmon

The diagrams give data on the life period of a kind of huge fish named the salmon. Overall, the development process consists of 3 stages and shows how a salmon turns into an adult type. In detail, at the beginning the salmon lay their eggs next to small stones and these stones are situated at the bottom of the reeds. Approximately 5 or 6 months later the salmon called fry appears and their length is 3-8 cm. In addition, they live in upper river and move slowly during this period. Then they act towards lower river. The second stage begins and their speed increases and flows fast. Then these salmon turn into smolt. These kinds live nearly 4 years and their length is between 12 and 15 cm. For the next stage the salmon initiate to swim in open sea and spend about 5 years there. The last species called adult salmon and their length is from 70 to 76 cm. From this phase the process is repeated again.
