The diagrams below show the design for a wave-energy machine and its location. Melk
There are two diagrams the first diagram, depicts an energy generation machine which harnesses the tidal power to generate energy. The second diagram shows two different location options for these energy generators. To go more in-depth, the first picture provides us with a rough schematic. From it we learn that the machine has two chambers, lower chamber where ocean water flows in and out with respect to high and low tides. And an upper chamber which holds the turbine to generate energy. The flow of air is also depicted with the help of arrows; we see that warm air rises up from the water chamber, and escapes through an opening in the turbine chamber. Similarly, cold air is drawn in from the outside through another opening in the turbine chamber. The second picture gives us two locations to put these devices in. The low cost option is near land but outputs lesser energy as it harnesses the power of smaller waves. In contrast, the more expensive option is much further from land where the wave sizes are bigger thus, this option has a higer energy output.
