The chart illustrates the values of three companies in the US from 1960 to 2012. Overall, all three companies have seen different patterns in firm value over the time period. Which, Greenacres Ltd always accounted for the largest value out of all companies. As can be seen, in the first 30 years, Greenacres’s Ltd value was increased sharply, from $2, 000, 000 to more than $4, 000, 000 in 1990. However, this figure was dropped to near the start position after 10 years and continued to increase strongly until the end of the period, with the same value as 1990. There was a notable point in the first 15 years of the value of Farm Implements Ltd. This value started from 1980 at $1, 000, 000 and continued to grow to about $2, 000, 000 through the year. Meanwhile, this value of Carson Ltd witnessed a fluctuation trend, which started from the lowest price ($500, 000) in 1960 to $1, 500, 000 throughout the period.
