Overall, process consists of eight stages, start from water in high level reservoir, to culminating in electricity in national grid. At the begin, water is added in high level reservoir from the river, after which, gate of the dam is opened and water goes to low level reservoir, where water pass through the generator, at time water flow generate reversible turbine and produce electricity. Generated electricity goes to national grid by power lines which are connected with generator. In night time, functions works in reverse. Saved water in low level reservoir during day, pumped into high level reservoir. water pump use electricity which is produced during day by flow of water to take water into high level reservoir, due to more electricity can be produce during day. At night, gates of dam keep closed to pump out all water in high level reservoir from low level reservoir.
