The diagram illustrates the process of gathering rain water and making it ready for consumption in an Australian town. Overall, this whole process is divided into several parts starting with collecting rain water, then treated it using water filter and water treatment plant before using it for drinking. First, rain water from the rooftop of the houses is gathered through drain which is available out side of every house and they are connected to main drain pipe. This large drain pipe passes collected water to water filter in order to remove dust or any other objects come with water. Next, this filtered water stored into the underground storage facilitiy. This storage container is joined with water treatment chamber via pipe and it channels water into it for further purification. Here, water treatment machine uses chemicals to seperate impurities which water contains. After making water completely ready for consumption, it is transfered to residential houses by long tube where it can be used for drinking.
