The given bar chart illustrates the portion of Asia, Europe and the rest of the world wheat production in whole world between 1840 and 2000, measured in percentage. Overall, it is immediately apparent that despite some fluctuations, wheat production in Asia and Europe decreased while the rest of the world experienced significant growth over the period. Looking at the changes within first 80 years, Asia which was about 10% higher than proportion of Europe and five times more than percentage of the rest of the earth produced half of total wheat in 1840. Also, by 1880, the percentage of the entire wheat supply in Asia halved and continued to decline to 20% by 1920. In contrast, the respective figures for Europe and the rest of the earth jumped gradually to 50% and 30%. Turning to the changed rates in the next 80 years, Asia's share of production rise significantly twice from 1960 to 2000 while Europe reversed nearly and stood at 40% and tiny over 25% respectively. However, portion of the rest of the earth fluctuated slightly and finally became roughly 34%.
