The diagram below shows the environment issues raised by a product over its life cycle.

The diagram provides information about the making of a product and its effect on our environment. Overall, the seven steps, from planning and design to recycling are all related to one another and each step has an impact on the issues of our environment. In step 1, the planning and designing of the product via computer needs to happen so that we can continue to the next step which is the consumption of materials and energy resources. This is an important step because fossil fuels are mentioned and they are one of the main causes of environmental pollution. The product is then manufactured in step 3, which leads to its packaging and its spreading throughout the marketplace so that people can buy it. It is then sold to the customers in step 6. This step also has its disadvantages because shopping bags are required. After buying the product, the client either recycles the bags or decides to dispose them. The latter disrupts the environment in a serious way and unfortunately that is a choice made by many people on a daily basis. Feedback is also noteworthy, in case there is a need for improvement.
