In 1960, manufacturing created the highest proportions of jobs for people in town A and town B, at 41% and 70% respectively. Meanwhile, the workers in sales made up 30% of the workforce of town A, 10% higher than that of town B. The proportion of workers in the service sector of town A is nearly three times higher than the figure for town B.
In 2010, town A and town B saw an increase to a massive 65% and 25% of employees working in services respectively.
