The given pie charts depict information about the proportion of production and utilization of oil in seven regions in 2005. In USA and Canada, the oil was produced approximately one fifth of total production globally. However, they utilized nearly one third proportion of oil. The consumption and production of oil in Latin America was 6. 2% and 9. 4 % respectively. In Africa, the production was at 10. 5% that accounted around at 3 times of utilization. The same pattern has observed in Middle East, where the production was approximate six times of its utilization. It contributes one third of total oil produced across the world. On the contrary, Europe consumed almost double of its production. There was a utilization of 4. 5% in Former Soviet union, while it produced nearly one tenth of total oil produced on this earth. However, in Asia Pacific, the consumption was more than that of production by 17. 1 %. On the other hand, in Africa, the production was higher than utilization by 6. 1%. Overall, it is concluded that the production was more in 4 regions as compared to utilization in these 4 regions. In other areas such as USA and Canada, Asia Pacific and Europe, the utilization was somewhat greater than production.
