The pie chart given below illustrates the rate of Irish students at a University who speaks an additional language apart from their native ones that is English over the span of ten years from the year 2000 to 2010. Overall, Spanish have consistently been the most popular language that Irishmen prefer after English. Moreover, the percentage of students who don't know any other language have declined to half of that from 2010. To begin with, in the year 2000 people's most favored language other than English was Spanish accounting for just under one-third of the total students followed by French and some other language both with 15%. Irish students who just spoke Celtic were just 10% and the rate of scholars who didn't know any other language holds 20% stake in the chart. Secondly, in the year 2010 liking towards Spanish rose to 5% more and was the same with students who knew two other languages at that University. However, the percentage of students who knew Celtic remained the same over ten years. In addition to that, liking towards the French language seems to have decreased.
