The line graph illustrates the unemployment rate in both the rural and urban areas in Australia during the fisrt four months of the year 2012. Overall, it can be seen that the unemployment rate was higher in the rural areas of Australia than it is in the urban areas. In additon, it can be acknowledged that the percentage of unemployed people in rural areas decreased over the fisrt four month unlike that in urban areas where it increased. To begin with, looking at the line graph that concrens the unemployment rate in rural areas, it was merely 6. 5% at the begining of the year. However, this number detoriarated to around 4. 5% with the starting of the third month prior to increasing slightly to attain exactly 5% at the end of the fourth month. On the other hand, concerning unemployment rate in urban areas, it was just above 2% at the start of the year. Nonetheless, this proportion climbed to 4% with the end of month four and kept increasing during month five yet staying under 5%.
