In the first chart, we can see the number of marriages and divorces in the USA changed rapidly from 1970 to 2000. The rate of marriages did not change in 1970 and 1980, but it slowly decreased in 1990 and 2000. Besides, the rate of divorces increased in 1970 and 1980 from 1 million to approximately 1. 5 million. However, this number turned down in 1990 and came back in 1-million mark. Another chart shows us information about marital status of adults Americans in 1970 and 2000. In 1970, the rate of marriage people was up to 70%, while the rate of never married, widowed and divorced shared 30% left with the rate of divorced was almost zer0. This rate did change much in 2000.
