Overall, the unemployment rate in Australia is divided into two groups rural areas and urban areas. Four quarters of the year describe the differences between these two areas. To begin, in the first quarter urban areas were 4% below than rural areas, which were 6. 50%, having the biggest peak of that two areas. To compare with the fourth quarter of the year, where urban areas increased a peak of an unemployment rate of nearly 5 percentage in 2012, but on the same time frame rural areas steady decline (5%), yet remained higher than urban areas. In the second quarter, they showed similar patterns both areas went down, but in the third quarter was a big difference because urban areas significantly drop to 2 percent, but rural areas significantly went up to over 5 percent.
