In terms of size, the Sahara desert stands at 9, 000, 000 square kilometers, while the Taklimakan and the Great Basin have similar figures, accounting for 270, 000 square kilometers and 305, 775 square kilometers respectively. The average annual rainfall in Taklimakan is from 1 to 3. 8 centimeters every year, which is also the sparsest among the other three. The summer temperature of the Sahara and the Great Basin are the same, with 30 degree celsius, while only Taklimakan desert is at 25 degree celsius. Nonetheless, the Sahara is the warmest in winter with the average temperature of 13 degree celsius, while two others stand at -8 degree celsius and -9 degree celsius. The temperatures of the Sahara and Great Basin desert have the highest records and are similar: 57 and 58. However, the Taklimakan have the lowest extreme temperature recorded: - 26 degree celsius.
