In the graph is revealed some interesting data concerning the billions of dollars earned through export in different sectors in 2015 and 2016, while in the table are displayed the proportional changes in each activity in the two years.
The most significant facts to observe are that, on one hand petroleum products and engineered goods made most of the export in the period considered, but, at the same time, the strongest growth in percentage was experienced by the textile sector.
Moving to a more detailed analysis, with the only exception of gems and jewellery, that from an approximately 42 billion decreased to a 41 billion of dollars, all the other categories witnessed an increase in the amount of exports from 2015 and 2016. The petroleum products were the most exported both in 2015 and 2016 with 60 billion dollars and roughly 62 billion dollars respectively, followed by engineered goods at 56 and 61 billion dollars.
While agricultural products figures increased slightly by only a 0, 81%, the textiles sector, that accounted as the last sector for the amount of exports, surged by 15. 24%, from 25 to 31 billion dollars. Another dramatic rise was seen also in the data of engineered goods that rose by a 8. 5%, while, even if it ranked first, the petroleum products numbers grew by only a 3%.
