The given bar chart illustrates the quantity of profits made from the seven most popular sorts of movie which was watched in US cinemas in 1995, 2000 and 2005 as a portion of total revenue of the us cinema industry for every single year. Overall, it can be obviously seen that Comedy was the most profitable genre with steady upward trend over the period given. It can also be observed that profits of Adventure Comedy and Animation experienced an increasing trend whereas that of other movies went down after the 10 - year period. Looking at the figure in further detail, it is evident that Drama was the most profitable types of movies which made more money than Thriller Musicals Animation combined. Meanwhile, comedy was the second most profitable genres, at exactly 20%, but after 5 years it surpassed Drama to the top spot, at 25 %. Besides, there are some slight rises in revenue of Thriller, Musical Animation while that of adventure, altion Drama one dropped moderately between 1995 and 2000. Turning to the remaining statistics, it is clear that from 2000 to 2005, profits of Adventure, suddenly doubled to become the second most profitable one at approximately 25 %. In contrast, figures for Musicals roughly halved to about 2. 5% and this was also the lowest proportion in 7 movie genres.
