The chart illustrates how many adults in various age group used internet daily in the uk over a 4 year period, starting in 2003. Overall, users of internet grow with age. 16-24 age group showed the maximum use of internet daily. The percentage of people in the 16-24 age group who used internet daily was 80% in 2003 and 2004. This number rose significantly to 100% before declining to around 75%. In contrast, the figure for 65+ age group was below 20% throughout the period. With regards to remaining age group, users of internet in the 25-44 age group increased steadily from under 55% to 80% between 2003 and 2006. Similarly, internet users in 45-54 age group was 60% in 2003, rising to four-fifths in the ending year. The proportion of people aged 55-64 who used internet stood at below 40% in the initiating year, with some fluctuations in 2004 and 2005. User of internet in this age group reached at more than half in 2006.
