Different kinds of transport method are taken into consideration and only children aged 5-12 are counted in the survey. The black solid rectangles represent data taken in 1990. Meanwhile, the striped figures display numbers collected in 2010. The number of travels made each year were reported in millions. According to the data taken in 1990, the most frequent method of transport used was walking. Its graphical bar is recorded as the highest out of all in the illustration and represents around 12 million children. Meanwhile, the least popular type was getting to destinations by car. Back then, only about 4 million of the younglings have gotten used to cars. On the other hand, in the year 2010, a major turn of events happened. About 11 million children were seen being driven in cars by their guardians, making car passenger the most popular method of trips. In addition, it is noticeable how the number of kids walking in the second year has reduced by more than half of the previous time. Other ways of transportation such as taking the bus and walking, cycling, and purely taking the bus experienced a subtraction of numbers. By this, it can be concluded how all travelling methods have been less seen, except for car passenger.
