In 2003, burglary was the most committed crime in the city with almost 3500 cases. However, in 2005 it witnessed a plunge to reach its lowest at 2000, after which it started to increase and outnumbered burglaries in the middle of 2006. For the rest of the period, the figure generally followed an upward trend and reached its 2003 level. Turning to robbery, as can be seen that it was the least committed and had the most stable pattern. Over the whole period, the number of robbery cases mildly fluctuated between 500 and 800.
