The graphs show the enrolments of overseas and local students in Australian Universities over a decade. Firstly, we can see that a much high number of local students (about 117, 000) commencing in universities, compared to foreign students (about 11, 000). However, over the ten years, the number of foreign students increased slowly until 2009, after which increased a little by the end of 2010, while the graph for the number of local students commencing, fluctuates at 2002 and 2008, all over indicating a small growth in the ten years. Secondly, the total number of overseas students grew almost at a constant rate in 10 years. On the other hand, the total number of local students heightened till 2007 after which, the growth flattens to a constant carried out until 2010. Overall, the number of foreign students commencing rises at a greater rate than the local students, whilst the total number of foreign students expands at a higher rate in comparison to the local students over the ten-year period.
