The chart represents the percentage change in average house prices in five cities from 1990 to 2002 compared with 1989. Over 5 years, averaged house prices in New York (USA), Madrid (Spain), Tokyo (Japan) and London (UK) have all increased while the averaged house price in Frankfurt (Germany) has decreased. The largest increasing of the averaged house price from the average price in 1990-1995 to the average price in 1996-2000 compared with 1989 was by London (UK) (around -7% to 12%). While the lowest increasing of the averaged house price from the average price in 1990-1995 to the average price in 1996-2000 compared with 1989 was by Tokyo (Japan) (around -7% to -5%). Although the average house price in Frankfurt (Germany) have not increase, the percentage change from 1989 prices in Frankfurt (Germany) shows the higher percentage than the percentage change in Tokyo (Japan). Furthermore, decreasing in average house price percentage is not much. In conclusion, the average house price in London (UK) was increased compared with 1989 as well as New York (USA), Madrid (Spain) and London (UK).
