At a glance, we can easily say that the USA is at a leading with a considerable margin in all three types of medals. in second place is the Soviet Union which also shows a commendable margin from its close competitor, the United Kingdom. However, Germany is right behind the UK in 4th place and Italy at 5th place by a very close margin. However, the number of gold medals won by Italy exceeds the number won by Germany. The amount of Gold medals won by USA and soviet union is much higher in comparison to the rest of the countries that follow suit.
