Obviously, the most popular mode of transport used in order to get to work is car, which is also responsible for the largest amount of CO2 emissions. A massive 48%of the total transportation use in this city goes to car, while the least amount, just 4%, belongs to commuters who either cycle or walk. The train \bus is the second most popular means of transport with 37%, which is more than three times as high as sharing car, 11%. Regarding the age of these commuters, people choosing public transport are the oldest commuters, while those cycling or walking are eight years younger than them. People driving and sharing their cars are 44 and 43 years old. People driving to work alone are the biggest CO2 emitters, with little over 300 grams/km per person, but those using their own car and carpooling emit only 80 grams per km per person. By contrast, commuters who cycle, walk or use public transport are the most environmentally friendly with almost zero CO2 emissions.
