The bar graph illustrates the percentage of total number of travellers used variety of transportation modes in any one of the European towns as per mentioned years. During 1960, a large group of people travelled by walking was nearly 35% among the other modes of transport. Followed up by, bike in the second position, people around 25% of the city used this mode. Similar to that city people got travelled through bus about 18%. To the least used way of transport is car was 5% than different transportation method. With the span of two decades, there is a significant increased in the use of bus from 18% to 27% in 1980. On the other hand, there is a huge declined in the transportation through walk-in-foot that is about 200% decrease that in the year 1960. However, common people used car and bike as their daily routine of transportation. Approximately, 23% used car and about 20% used bike as the methid of transportation. By the year 2000, there was a remarkable the rise in the use of car as people way of transportation. About 36% all time high people used the car as their travelling. Therefore, there was a slightly drop is observed in the bus as the method of transport by their city dwellers. Not onle bike but aslo foot was seen to be decreased by the year 2000 was around only 6% and 8%. Overall, a majority of people started to use car by the end of the year 2000 rather than using bike and walking to their workplace.
