Overall, its is crystal clear that, bus and car was most preference mode of transport by children. while, the least number of children used cycling modes of transport. To begin with, in 1990 the number of car trips made by children was 4 million per year. while, there was a rapid increase in 201 to approximately 12 million per year. however, 6 million of student used walking and cycling mode of transport in 1990. There was a significant decline in 2010 at around3 million and 2 million respectively. Further more, 7 million of children preferred bus and walking to travel from school in 1990. whereas, there was a slight decline in 2010 to nearly 5 million. In contrast, the number of bus trips made by children was 12 million per year in 1990. While, there was a sudden fall in 2010 at around 6 million.
