Overall, It is noticeable that the mobiles and National and international – fixed line grew slightly over the entire period, while local-fixed line was most utilized call type in the UK. Local fixed line, which stood at over the 70 billion minutes, had increased slightly to 90 billion by 1999, but after that it reduced to 18 billion minutes in 2000, 2001, 2002 and became stable as in 1995. In contrast, the total amount of minutes of national and international-fixed line and mobiles grew slightly over the period. The number of minutes in mobiles, which stood at under 10 billion minutes grew slightly to 12 billion by 1999 and had increased significantly to 22 billion by 2002 while National and international fixed line rose slightly to 21 billion minutes over the period.
