Netball was the most popular sport among females overall, with soccer being the most popular sport among females. In addition, when compared to other sports, the proportion of male cricket players was the least, and was comparable to male netball players in the United Kingdom. In 2008, the percentage of males who played soccer was around 25%, while the percentage of females who played this sport was around 5%, as seen in the bar chart. The other sport was ranked second on the list, with males accounting for 20% of the total, which was twice as much as girls (10%). Cricket was a sport in which 10% of males participated, which was significantly greater than the female participation rate (2 percent ). Meanwhile, male participation in table tennis was slightly higher than female participation, at roughly 8%. Female players made up the vast majority of netball players, accounting for 25% of all players compared to only 2% of male players. Females and males experienced a considerable difference in swimming percentages, with 23 percent of females and 14 percent of males, respectively. Furthermore, the figures for tennis and baseball in both genders were about 6-7 percent.
