The bar chart gives data about people's housing choices in Liverpool, London and Manchester in 2009. It is clear that while Apartments was the most popular choice in Liverpool, Semi-detached houses were more popular with residents of London and Manchester. It is notable that Terraced houses were the least chosen in all three cities. Also, the proportion of people living in Apartments had a big disparity in cities. In 2009, about 60% of Liverpool residents preferred to live in Apartments, almost double and triple that figure in London and Manchester respectively. On the contrary, Terraced Houses were a much less popular choice, with approximately 20% in London and around 10% in the other cities. Looking at the other housing preferences, the percentage of residents in London and Manchester chosing Semi-detached houses was the same at about 37%. Whereas, the figure for people in Liverpool was much lower with 18%. And Detached houses was the second most choice in Manchester with about 35% which was 10% and 20% higher in London and Manchester respectively.
