The bar chart compares the proportion of three different sizes of companies which used social media for business purposes over the 4-year period, starting from 2012. It is noticeable that large businesses using social media were the highest over the period shown. In addition to this, the percentage of companies that have social media presence increased over the given period. Looking at the information in more detail, we can see that there was a slight growth in the figure for small businesses in social media usage between 2012 and 2014. Whilst those of medium-size businesses rose significantly, which began at 31% in 2012 and ended at around 50% after two years. In the year 2015, a sharp drop was seen in the percentage of both types of companies to about 30% but recovered dramatically to around 50% in 2016 for both. By contrast, larger businesses make extensive use of social media under 80% from 2012 to 2016. However, there was an incredible drop in the proportion of large-size of businesses of over 50%.
