The bar chart below shows the reduction in traffic accidents in Bridgewater following the introduction of extra lanes on busy roads.

The given bar chart illustrates the number of accidents per kilometer was decreased by constructing the additional roads in Bridgewater. A glance at the graph reveals that although the majority of traffic was found on the M2 and M5, there was less congestion on the M3. As a general overview, it seems to be a dramatic fall in the count of accidents on the motorways M1, M4, and M5 whereas there was a moderate decline in the cases for M2 and M3 after the introduction of new lanes. There was a sudden drop in the traffic problems to nearly more than 50 percent of the previous accident instances on the M1 while a moderate reduction of two cases per kilometer was found on the M2 and M3. On the other side, the traffic issues reduced to more than half of the originally occurring cases on the motorways M4 and M5.
