The bar chart shows how many 15-year-old students studied French and Japanese in one school in Australia between 2005 and 2015. Overall, what stands out from the graph is that there was an upward trend and downward trend for two languages selected by students. Another interesting point is that students selected to study French more popular than study Japanese. Looking at the detail, as regards, there was a sharp increase in the number of students selected to study Japanese from 10 students in 2005 to 85 students in 2010. The figure is the highest in all years before it decreased considerably to 65 students in 2011. After the number of students who studied Japanese was remained unchanged with 65 students from 2013 to 2015. By contrast, the number of students who studied French began at 130 students in 2005 then it dropped sharply to 90 students in 2010. Next, the figure witnessed a slight increase to 100 students in 2011 before it decreased slightly to 90 students in 2013 and the number of students who studied French saw an upward trend over last years surveyed. In general, the number of students who choose to study French was still higher than the number of students who study Japanese.
