The displayed bar chart is given information about the amount of electricity generated and used by the world's top ten energy users in 2014. A broad assessment of the data reveals that China and the USA produced and consumed significantly more electricity than any other country. Interestingly, Germany was the only country that consumed more electricity than it created. In 2014, China was taken the world-leading position in electricity production and consumption, with over 5000 kWh for each. The USA was in second place, producing and consuming about 20 percent less energy than China. In third place was Russia, although its power production and consumption were only around 1000 billion kWh. In seventh and eighth place, France and Brazil both similar amounts of electricity, with production figures of approximately 550 billion kWh and consumption of around 450 billion kWh. Furthermore, it is interesting to note that ninth-placed Germany was the only country whose energy consumption was higher than its production. In fact, its consumption figures were fifth-highest. Finally, rounding out the top 10 was Korea with electricity generation and usage numbers a tiny under 500 billion kWh.
