In general, the figure for Nokia, Motorola, and Sony Ericsson market segment saw three upward trends whereas Samsung, LG, BenQ Mobile witnessed falls in their rates of the total amount of mobile sales.
As clearly seen from the table, Nokia was the market leader, selling 32. 5% of all mobile phones nearly one-third of the total in 2005, and continued to dominate when increasing by 2. 5% at the end of the period. This percentage is bigger than Motorola and Samsung added together. Likewise, the proportion of market share that Sony Ericsson and Motorola held rose slowly to 7. 4% and 21. 1% respectively.
On the contrary, the companies listed here had a much smaller share of the market, during the first year Samsung underwent its share of the market decline mildly to 11. 8%. Same as Meanwhile LG decreased tediously from 6. 7% to 6. 3%. BenQ Mobile’s was the lowest market share, more than halved, hit a rough of 2, 4%.
