The bar chart indicates the unemployment situation of rural areas and urban areas in Australia in 2012. It shows the unemployment rate of them and is divided into four quarters. Overall, the unemployment rate of rural areas outnumbered the unemployment rate of urban areas. And both were exact opposite from each other, when the unemployment rate of rural areas was increasing, the unemployment rate of urban areas seem to decrease. Especially in the first two quarters, the unemployment rate of rural areas and urban were significantly decreasing and increasing separately. The unemployment rate of rural areas was at the highest point in the beginning of 2012, it was at almost 7%, meanwhile, the unemployment rate of urban areas reached its highest level at the end of 2012, which was closing to 5%. Rural areas' unemployment rate had dropped from almost 7% in the beginning of 2012 to under 5% in the second quarter, after that its unemployment rate had remained at the same level, which was around 5%. Meanwhile, urban areas' unemployment increased sharply in the first two quarters, from 2% to 4%, then sharply decrease back to 2% in the third quartar and reach the lowest level. After the third quarter, it had increased again until the end of 2012 and reached the highest level of all time.
