spread of internet between American females
spread of internet between American females MqM9e
The chart shows the spread of internet between American females in two subsequent years; 2000 and 2001. Women are classified in eigth categories accourding to their age. However, girls under 12 years old weren't included.
More than 9 in each 10 amirican teens had an access to the internet in the both years. Percents slightly decresed for the younger age category (16-18) to become less than 90 percent. Nethertheless, the figure for the same age group went up to almost 100 percent in 2001. Furthermore, older women (19-45) keep at the same pattern. Around four-fifths of them spent time on the world wide web in 2000 and 2001.
Mostly, the percent for 36 to 55-year-olds didn't change in 2001. Otherwise, it decresed slightly to less than three-quarters in 2000. For those who were between 56 and 65 years old, their access to the interner significantly declined, approximitally by a quarter, in the two years. In addition, for grands who are older than 65 years old the figures were just 20 and 30 percent in 2000 and 2001 respectively.
It's obvious that more people used the internet in 2001 tan in 2000, besides, as the age increase, the use of the internet decreased. Which raise the question whether in the follwing years the gap can be dimminshed furthermore or will be limited.
