Salmon life cycle, and stages.
Salmon life cycle, and stages. x8KV1
The given diagram shows the life cycle of a fish called the salmon. In general, it is obvious that, salmons pass through 3 stages to reach the adult phase.
Firstly, salmon eggs are found in the upper surface of the river, which moves slowly, they are laid in the bottom of the reeds, between the stones. It takes, 5 months for these eggs to hatch, and form a fry, which is 3 to 8 cm long. A fry will be living in the lower liver, which is considered as a fast flowing river for approximately 4 years before transforming into a smolt which is 12 to 15 cm long. This smolt continue its journey for approximately 5 years, and finally transforming into and adult salmon, which is 70 to 80 cm long, which in turn will lay its eggs into the upper surface of the river, and a new cycle will begin all over again.
Salmons pass through several stages before their ability to lay eggs, and give birth to new generations.
