Reflection on novel Stargirl

Reflection on novel Stargirl G32Ae
In the novel Stargirl, (Spenelli, page. 139) Stargirl introduces herself as ‘Susan’. This made me feel kind of odd because Stargirl was almost forced to change, I mean imagine one of the people that you love the most (Leo in this case) just says, “If you don’t become ‘normal’ than I will break up with you” and then you ask “Why? ” but they just answer with, because no one likes ME. However, you do not want to change because no likes them, you don’t want to be reminded “Would Evelyn do that? ” You just want to live your life and be happy! Yet the words “breaking up with you” hits Stargirl hard so she leaves, but never returns the same. The next question is would I act like Leo if I were in this situation? Well, the answer is yes and no, and let me explain why. Okay so (Spinelli, page. 143) when Leo and Stargirl were doing their homework together, Leo went to check her happy wagon. If you don’t know what a happy wagon is, it is basically just a car that you put flower petals inside of and depending on the number of the petals it means how cheerful or unhappy you are, in general there are twenty petals, but the lowest Stargirl ever had was 3. So, when he walked into the room can you guess how many petals there were in her happy wagon? No not 20, not ten come on keep guessing, 2? If you said two then I must admit you are correct, when Leo checked her happy wagon there were only 2 petals inside. Meaning Stargirl was not happy, which is why a part of my answer is no. I do not want people to be upset because of me, I don’t want to influence how they live or what they do in their lives. I just want them to be themselves! Then why was a part of my answer yes? Good question, and here is the reason. Although I don’t want to make them upset, I would probably confront them but not in the forcing way as DO IT NOW OR ELSE! I would be more kind and accept their answer even if it were not what I wanted it to be. However, you may still have a question as, “If you don’t want to be mean confronting them is not the way to go, just do not say anything. ” While you are right, let us imagine one thing, listen (read) carefully. You are walking through a hallway exited to go to class and say hi to all your friends on the way! It seems like an enjoyable day until you see everyone is whispering to each other about something, it gets even worse when everyone starts staring at you. You go up to your best friend to ask what everyone was talking about, but they just stare at you in disgust and leave to find another friend of theirs. You are left to just stand there, realizing everyone was talking about you, everyone hated you, no one even wanted to talk to you. After listening to that wonderful example, would you consider confronting them? If your answer is still no that is okay as everyone has their own opinions on stuff!
In the novel
Stargirl
, (
Spenelli

Stargirl
introduces herself as ‘Susan’. This made me feel kind of odd
because
Stargirl
was almost forced to
change
, I mean imagine one of the
people
that you
love
the most (Leo
in this case
)
just
says, “If you don’t become ‘normal’ than I will break up with you” and then you ask “Why? ”
but
they
just
answer
with,
because
no one
likes
ME.
However
, you do not
want
to
change
because
no
likes
them, you don’t
want
to
be reminded
“Would Evelyn do that? ” You
just
want
to
live

!
Yet
the words “breaking up with you” hits
Stargirl
hard
so
she

,
but
never returns the same.

The
next
question is would I act
like
Leo if I were in this situation? Well, the
answer
is yes and no, and
let
me
explain
why. Okay
so
(Spinelli, page. 143) when Leo and
Stargirl
were doing their homework together, Leo went to
check
her
happy
wagon
. If you don’t know what a
happy

basically

in general

So
, when he walked into the room can you guess how

Then why was a part of my
answer
yes?
Good
question, and here is the reason. Although I don’t
want
to
make
them upset, I would
probably
confront them
but
not in the forcing way as DO IT
NOW
OR ELSE! I would be more kind and accept their
answer
even if it were not what I wanted it to be.
However
, you may
still
have a question as, “If you don’t
want
to be mean confronting them is not the way to go,
just
do not say anything. ” While you are right,
let
us imagine one thing, listen (read)
carefully

You are walking through a hallway exited to go to

After listening to that wonderful example, would you consider confronting them? If your

that is
