This diagram illustrates number of steps that how cocoa beans went through a number of processes for the production of liquid chocolate.
Looking from overall perspective it is readily apparent that the process of transforming the cocoa beans into liquid chocolate is a combination of man made and natural process. cocoa trees are grown in south America, Africa and Indonesia. As shown in diagram when pods ripe they change their colour into red. After that white cocoa beans are harvested from ripen red pods, followed by fermentation of white beans.
After fermentation, they are left in the sun for drying. After the process of drying they are put into large bags and transported by train or lorry to the factory. In factory, beans are roasted at the temperature of 350 degree centigrade and then followed by crushing of beans where outer shells are removed and separated from bean. In final processing inner part is pressed and liquid chocolate is produced. Now this liquid chocolate is ready to use.
