The two pie charts illustrate how various pollutants entered ocean at a particular point from a number of sources in the years 1997 and 2007. Overall, there was decrease in almost all the sources of pollution released to the ocean at the end of time period as compared to the beginning a decade earlier. Few recorded an increase proportions percentage wise. The waste that recorded an increase in percentage was offshore oil by additional 9% at the end compared to 1997 which was at 5%. Sewage domestic pollution increased from 18% in 1997 to nearly a third of waste ten years later. A downward trend observed in marine to 17% in 2007 from 22% in 1997, insignificant fall by 1% in air toxin between 1997 and 2007, again litter that contributed 4% in the beginning of the time on the contrary dropped to none at the end. Finally, both farm and industrial toxic components dropped by at least half between the years.
