The six pie charts illustrate the proportion of the amount of water used for distinct purposes in certain continents, namely North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Central Asia and SouthEast Asia.
Overall, we can see that most areas spent water on agricultural aims whilst North America and Europe predominantly used water for their industries.
Looking at the details, it was for agriculture purposes that water is mainly used in South America, Africa, Central Asia, SouthEast Asia with 71%, 84%, 88%, 81% respectively. Meanwhile, the highest water consumption for Industrial use was witnessed by North American (48%) and Europe (53%).
