Perception of colors is one of the first human abilities and they learn from the beginning of life to recognize different tones and intensities of color. Color has a very important aspect in chemistry and is exploited. Early in the development of chemistry, scientists realized that a change in the color of a solution indicated the occurrence of a chemical reaction and that the intensity of the dye could be related to the concentration of the products involved in that reaction. This percept was described long before the definition of any color vision theory and selective colorimeter reactions as a powerful tool for qualitative analysis [148].
